About us

Grow Chichester is an initiative born out of a number of Transition Chichester projects. With allotment waiting lists totalling 200+ (with a wait of at least 5 years) in Chichester, we felt that there must be another way to get the local community growing together.

Oaklands Park Community orchard was the first space to be founded, followed by Whyke Community Orchard, Oaklands Park Community Garden and the Bishop's Palace Garden Vegetable Plot.

The dream of Grow Chichester is to see friut and vegetables growing across the city, and for local people to have access to healthy, organic food free of charge and within walking distance from their houses and neighbourhoods. In the process we hope to keep the city green, growing and looking naturally beauitful.
