News from the Community Gardens
January 2018

Our beady-eyed companion watching us digging over the compost.

Update
Happy New Year! We're back to it after our Christmas break and working hard to get all the winter jobs completed before we excitedly start sowing again in the coming weeks. The autumn raspberries have all been cut back, compost turned over and raised beds weeded.

The kale and chard keep producing, albeit more slowly this time of year and the autumn sown sweet peas have survived the frosts in the shelter of the poly tunnel thankfully.

Tuesday afternoons at Oaklands Park Community Garden have now stopped for the winter but Wednesday and Saturday morning sessions in the Bishop’s Palace Vegetable Garden continue throughout the year, so do come along as we'd love to see you.

Regular Gardening Sessions
